Membership Levels

Our membership base is continually growing allowing the New Brunswick Forest Safety Association more opportunity to serve the forest industry. Currently our membership is divided into three groups: Members, Associate Members, and Non-Members.

Benefits of Membership

• When you are a member or associate member of the New Brunswick Forest Safety Association, you receive consistent, high quality training, at a low cost. Because we are industry funded and not-for-profit, our goal is to provide the best safety training available, at the best available price to our members.
  
  
• All of our instructor’s have relevant work experience, and are skilled in adult education.
  
  
• We also provide each first time student with a “Safety Passport”* as well as all future course certificates, we’ll even replace it free if it gets lost.
  
  
• We also maintain all of the safety records so you don’t have to. Any authorized employee can access our secure on-line database of safety records any time and search information by course, employee, or up coming expiration. It is important to note that a company can only view their own records and authorization is given jointly by the New Brunswick Forest Safety Association and senior company management.

*One time fee of $11.00 associated with Passport.

Members

All companies that pay compensation under the standard industrial classification (SIC) code 2512 are automatic members. These companies pay into a levy that helps fund the operation of the New Brunswick Forest Safety Association. This was the original SIC group that initiated the re-activation of the New Brunswick Forest Safety Association in 2005.

Associate Members

All companies outside SIC code 2512 that would like to partake in the New Brunswick Forest Safety Association's training and receive all the benefits of regular membership would fall into this category. Membership fees are paid annually and are based on the number of employees normally employed.

Non-Members

Anyone in the general public wishing to take a course offered by the New Brunswick Forest Safety Association on their own and not requiring the additional benefits of membership. To do so they pay a standard per course fee.
